I have a wireless LAN access point on my phone that is draining my battery because it always seems to be trying to connect to it. I do not want this access point but because the phone thinks it is connected (it can't be because it was over 1 mile from my current location) it will not let me delete it. How can I delete this access point?

Can you put the phone into offline mode and then try to delete the wlan access point?

Thanks Steve I had not thought of that option but I have now actually managed to turn it off by selecting disconnect from tools/connectivity/connection manager/active data connections and then moving quickly (before it tried to reconnect again) to tools/settings/connection/access points. Dave

Thank you steve. For some reason my E52 likes to randomly (?) add new 'destinations' and putting the phone in offline mode seems to be the only way to remove them again, together with the associated access points.
