I have had my N82 for over a year now. I changed the case since I was rough on mine. It worked fine for a while after changing the case. Then one day I go to take a picture and it says "camera in use", "messanging in use" basically anything but phone operations is in use. I had to hard reset. I have reformatted the card to no avail. The only thing I have not tried to replace is the memory card. I will be doing that this week. I use Garmin XT a lot. Every time I load that software, things start to go bad. When the phone finally does start freezing it is unusable. It freezes regularly and sometimes I can not even boot the phone. I just get a black screen. I am leaning towards memory card or memory reader. ANYONE have the same problem as me?!? I have been reading these boards for weeks. ANY input would be greatly appreciated.
Using Garmin XT w / North America maps.
4 gigs of music.
More hard resets then I can remember. Already purchased a new phone but I still want my old N82. Great phone when it worked... Help?

Is Garmin XT installed on your phone memory or memory card?
you can always try uninstalling and reinstalling it(unless you paid for it and will have to buy it again)
Try connecting via data transfer and defragmenting your memory card
or backing up everything(including hidden files and folders) to a folder on your computer, format memory card and transfer everything back to it at once

I have already tried the last suggestion. The phone works better for a while but eventually goes back to freezing.
I have not tried to defrag. I will give that a shot.
I have uninstalled and re-installed many times.
I could probably get the program on the phone memory but not very many maps.
Thanks, I will try some of this and let you know.

I just backed everything up, defraged and checked for errors. While I was transfering the data, I also hard reset the phone. Garmin + maps are back up and no problems yet with the phone. Kinda scared to load the mp3s, I really hope its not that.
I will update later today. Thank you very much for your suggestions. I hope they work.
