I use the camera on my N82 very regularly but I just want to be able to save my pictures to the memory card. I do not want to 'Upload to Orange album' or 'send as postcard' or send to a friend'...
How can I turn these options off?

Thank you for your response but...
The phone is already set to save pictures to the 2Gb card and I can get rid of the options it offers me just by pressing 'cancel' I had hoped though that I would be able to set it up so that it does not even offer me the options.

I thought that is what you meant and in fact I had selected that 1st option. I had actually been aware that you could hide those icons but that was not what I had wanted to achieve.
Thanks anyway.

You need to start the Orange Photo application. Once in there go to settings and you can switch off the annoying Orange Upload message after every picture is taken. The others who have responded are probably confused as their handsets won't pop up that annoying message that you get on yours. I used to have an Orange branded N82 which is actually not that badly crippled by Orange firmware but that photo upload message sure is a pain.

Thank you very much for your response. It is good to hear from someone who has experienced the same annoyance. Would you mind explaining though how to get into the Orange Photo Application. Is that an on-line facility?
If so, I do not have the facility to go on-line as I asked Orange to disable it because I do not have any inclusive web time on my contract and I was concerned about it racking up a large bill.

Go to your phone's menu and somewhere (probably in Applications) you should find an application called 'Orange Photo', the icon will have a creepy face on an orange square background with white frame a bit like a Polaroid. Start the Orange Photo application and agree to any terms and conditions pop-up's that may appear. Eventually you'll see a screen with 3 options:
> Upload/Manage
> View online album
> More
Select 'More', then select...
> Settings
Select 'Settings', then select, 'Upload options'. Change the 'Auto-prompt' setting to 'Disable' then select 'OK'.
Then exit the application, job's a good 'un. ![]()
You should then enjoy the N82's camera without annoying messages.
Happy New Year!

Superb!
Orange Photo was actually on the same level as 'Applications' and your instructions were excellent.
The annoying prompt has now gone!
Thank you very much and Happy New Year to you.
