hey, like the thread name said I've a problem I upgraded my software on my nokia N80... (it was 3.06 ) and the update version was 5.07

The update finished succesfully, but the didn't restart , the phone just shut down himself.... then I started the phone and the screen was just blank , white ( i can hear the sound of the keys when I press them, even I can here the login soun don my nokia, but the screen phone is just blank..)

Any explanation how I can repair it?

Thre is little you can do if the phone won't boot. You could try the three-fingered salute: switch the phone on with the call key, 3 key and * key held down - keep them held until boot is complete. This is the hard-reset procedure, if the OS was fully installed you might be lucky and the phone may start; otherwise you'll have to have it reflasjed at a Nokia service point.

Wait, so I need to start the phone with the call button ( green button) and holding at the same time number 3 and the * symbol on my phone?

If you can hear the start up tone and the key presses, then it's not aboot up issue, as it has booted up, lol.

You could try the reset, but I'm not convinced that would work. It sounds as if somehow, the LCD has stopped working.

How did u get the Version 5, im using 4.0707.07 & my N80 is giving me issues and i cant downgrade.

Somehow after they flashed it i dont have certificates and i can install certain softwares on my phone

You can try updating to V5 using Nokia Software Updater which is available for download from
