My friend has an N80 which has starting to have problems last Monday.

Here's the problem:

When he tries to close down the slider, the screen turns all white(Whiteout).But with the slider open, its fine.He brought the phone to the NSC and the techies at Nokia told him that the carbon needs replacement.He also said that it will cost him around £20.Is it worth the cost?

I would pay £20 to have peace of mind. It would seriously bother me to have my N80 displaying that white screen. What's a £20 bill after all?! ;-)

This might be overpriced as in the other thread someone stated that it'll just cost RM70 which is roughly equivalent to £10.BTW, my friend is in the Philippines.
