Card is a SanDisk mobile ultra class 6 bought from play.com

Inserted card in phone and formatted it, but it only shows 30.3MB free. Tried it in PC and and get message "you need to format disk". If I click "format" the format box shows capacity as 30.6mb. When I click start (format) I get message box "windows unable to complete format".

If I switch phone off and re- insert card when I switch phone back on get message "memory card encrypted with another key. The key needs to be imported......continue", if I click yes I get "no keys found", the memory card no longer shows any free memory and I have to format again, memory now shows 29.3mb free

Anyone any ideas what's happening?

Your memory card under warranty? Contact manufacturer to clarify this, and check with Nokia this class 6 memory card is compatible with N8 via contact us in its website.
