in order to check if you have this update on your phone go to 

menu- applications- SW update- click refresh/or automatically will check for new updates. 

i did not even check what changes were made, but that might assist some users with their app issues they have been reporting. check it out and let us know if you notice any difference. 

ps. sorry if it has already been posted, i tried to search for it but could not find it.

if it's old new please forgive me as well. i check my phone everyday for updates and this just came up. i reckon it can't be too old.

Just updated mine from 1.2.157 to 1.2.163. Good to see the Nokia SW updater actually updates the built-in apps now (unlike the last Social update). Keep it up Nokia!

The widget now shows "likes" and comment-count on status updates. It didn't do that before did it?

Also, the app seems to load up slightly faster as well.

It did show 'likes' on the homescreen in the previous version. I was hoping they will bring arrows back to the widget but they didn't obviously.

it might be released to some regions and then others, i am not sure. or it maybe region specific update. before anyone else updates click on the i button prior to installation of the new update. this usually gives you a little info about the update

Scrolling is still the same (not good) and loading pictures from facebook still takes forever. I cant see any improvements from the previous version

Not sure what else the update entails, but NOW, the Social widget acts sort of like a scrolling billboard.....showing several of the most recent "home page" wall postings on Facebook, as well as now giving you the option of refreshing and updating your status right from the widget !  Not bad,...and the most encouraging things is this:  We now KNOW that they are running full tilt at improving the N8 experience.  I love this device (can't really call it a phone now, can ya?).  I bought mine 3 days after it's release and after being approached by guys I work with,...one at a time,....8 others have pulled the trigger on this awesome phone,,,AND traded in iPhones to do it !!

-Tags in photos covers peoples heads ... Offer option/button to toggle on or off and some transparency would be good.

-still cant see who likes a posting, only the number of likes
-I get an empty news feed and an error saying "unable to retrieve feed items"
-unable to see old events to check event wall once you mark attending status/add to phone calendar

Hmm, about the new update, i kinda hate that the arrows which you could use too scroll down are gone... should have made a swipe scroll in it then...  and give us options on how the widget will work. par example auto scrolling or arrows. Then at least we can choose it ourselfes.

Just to notify, this update is available also for C6-01 and therefore I think for all Symbian^3 devices.

The update looks a little nicer and seems a little quicker in general.

However I preferred the old widget with the scroll arrows. plus it's still annoying you can't see who likes a comment etc. oh, and photos take ages to load, if at all!

It looks like there is now an option to directly share pictures you take as well (I might be mistaken, as I have had this awesome phone for only a few days)!

I hate the new update, the homescreen widget is completely useless without scrolling arrows!!.

I wanted to switch back to old version, tried everything including uninstall re-install etc, but the homescreen widget would remain unchanged!  

Can someone please suggest how to go back to the previous version with Arrows??
