Hi everyone, I hope someone can help me a fix for this without having to go through a reset.  My N8 suddenly hung up and suddenly deleted all of my homescreens.  It would have been okay for me to set all three screens back to their original configuration but unfortunately, I can't edit the main homescreen.  I can edit the two additional screens but NOT the main (1st) homescreen.  It just says homescreen is full!  Help!  Last thing I installed was the Xmas theme Rugge from the Nokia store.

Now when I try to restart the phone it says "Phone startup failed" Noooooooo!!!

Hi angeloparcon,

Sorry to hear about the issue you are facing. Try this to start up the device: Long press the power button, until the phone vibrates 3 times. After doing this try to start it normally.

If it still fails to start, take it to the nearest Nokia Care point. You can find the contact details from this link.

Have you tried removing any memory card if present?

Although all user data would be deleted you could try carrying out three key depressed power on "hard reset" as last resort, as a pre-cursor to taking device to Nokia Care Point.
