I'm used to save a lot of data in the notes field, inside a Contacts - Outlook 2007.
When I syncronize it, all data at N8 are truncated at this field (Notes).
Other issue also is when needed to visualized those informations at notes inside a Contacts... you can't see them! You need to edit and when do it, the data scrolls very fast!
Nokia tech support, please, fix these bugs!

I don't think these are bugs. Are you doing the following?
To see the Note without going into edit - open the Contact you want to see then select the right hand tab at the top of the page which will expose, among other things, the Note field. Tap on it and it will open up. If the Note is long you can scroll the Note up and down with your finger on the screen in order to see it all.
I am not having any problem with Notes being truncated syncing with an N8 and Outlook 2007, however sometimes on the N8 they can look like they are truncated if you do not scroll them up or down.
I also do not find the Note scrolls very fast when in edit mode.
Let us know how you get on.

Hello!
I'm using the latest version: 3.1.0.91.
My old Nokia N70 sync w/o any problem.
As I save a lot of information at notes field (at Contacts), this still happening with OVI and N8 (at least, mine).
But with N70 and Nokia PC Suite still working fine.
I had same problem with ToDo, but after report to Nokia, they fixed it.

Hello... I'm doing exactly what you suggested... but, some info are really being truncated....
And the way to visualize the notes (at Contacts) is too bad, as you can't see it at full screen... as always the virtual keyboard shows up and when trying to move slowly, it moves very fast.

I have done some tests -
Very long notes in Contacts greater than around 1,000 characters get truncated. This occurs as between Ovi Suite (including ver 3.1.1.75) and the phone, not between MS Outlook and Ovi Suite.
I suspect this is not a problem to most people but if you desire more characters to sync then I can only suggest that you email your concern to Nokia using the Contact Us link at the top of the page.
