N8 - Cannot hear any email notification

Hello there,

 

I have noticed something strange in my N8, started just recently. I do not get an email sound whenever i recieve an email.

 

does anyone know what might the problem be.

 

will really appreciate it.

Are you opening your e-mail on a computer before your phone gets the e-mail?  If you are, then it won't give you a notification tone or the @ symbol in the widget.  Also, make sure that it's not in power saving mode, you won't get new e-mail at all without actually going into the program.

Also, if you have Nokia Situations, make sure that if it changes situations, that it's set to have a sound for e-mail notification.
