N8 Camera bug

In both Photo and Video I have put the settings to the highest quality. When I make photo's or shoot video sometimes the settings will change to a lesser quality. This happened more than once and I am 100% positive I have not opened the settings menu to change the quality. Is this a bug? I find this very annoying. Please comment if you have a similar experience.

I know how to select the image quality. The problem is, after I have selected it and start making photo's or shooting video, the settings sometimes change without having them changed manually.

Last Sunday I selected HD 720p quality in the settings for a video. I shot about 43 video's to be edited at a later time. I did not press settings during the shoot but when I came home the last 20 video's were in 480p TV quality.. How could this have happened without me changing the settings manually?

This also happens now and then in the Photo mode.
