N8 Auto redial

How can the N8 be made to auto redial when a called number is busy?   I have searched but cannot find a setting - is this another firmware error/bug to add to teh hundreds already found?

Re: N8 Auto redial

This is neither an error nor a bug. It just isn't there because most people don't need it.

BTW, I've just got my N8. It would be helpful for me if you could list the hundreds of bugs you say have been found so I can look out for them as well.

Re: N8 Auto redial

Most people don't need auto redial?  Where do you get that idea from?

Just read through the forum to find out all of the problems people have.

Start with disappering call logs - set to 30 days and dissappear after a day.

Battery usage and monitor - 100% one moment and 70% the next

GPS lock time -

Navigation - according to Ovi Maps it is 12,950 km from the gym to home - a distance I can drive in 5 minutes.

And many more ...

Why would I want to my phone to continuously redial someone? If the phone I am calling is busy, the normal thing to do would be to call back the next time I am free and not have my phone redialling the same number automatically every few seconds. Anyway, what if I don't want to redial and put the phone away but the phone automatically redials in my pocket?

You only listed 4 bugs. I was getting worried I had picked th wrong phone when you said there were hundreds on bugs. 4 I can live with. More importantly my phone does not seem to have any of the problems at the moment. How strange. I'll keep an eye on it.

Re: N8 Auto redial

Hi there,

I personally need the redial function it is useful when driving. As for the hundreds of bugs, perhaps it is exadurated. Fine, my pop mail does not sync, but it is still not a hundred bug. When making a call, if your cheek accidently touches the screen, the call gets ended, this is still not a hundred bugs. If you charge your phone and it is fully charges, if the alarm starts and the phone hangs, it is still not a hundred bug. When Nokia has problems with graphic intensive applications on this specific model, it is still not a hundred bug on such a pricy model.

OK, ok, I maybe wrong. to know if the redial function is needed or not, I have created a group on facebook. if in the next 60 days we have less than 2000 people joining the group, then I would apologize to Nokia !

Hi Everyone

I also was not happy with this feature completely removed from symbian^3.. It is like NOKIA was acting like Apple. Cause this kind of attitude is more expected from Apple. Because Apple thinks in the Box but not out of the Box. But No Probs..

Here's a full solution..

There is a Application "Quick Redial" for symbians. But not specific to S^3 but it still works completely fine.. This application is even better than the native application for redialing because there is no waiting between attempts of redials... Some users may find this no waiting feature bad but still its good to have the option back on the n8 as compared to no auto redial available..

Instruction

1.) Download the file from http://www.multiupload.com/PKVSUKGP7Q

2.) Sign The SIS for you IMEI

3.) Send It to phone via bluetooth or usb.

4.) Install on device. choose pefer a mini sd memory card for destination for installation cause its safe that way.

5.) Tap at the App Icon once for enable and if you want to disable you will have to exit the menu view and come back again and tap again to disable.

Note:* The icon will take approx 1 min to appear in you application folder.

**if you want instructions to sign a sis then google it out... or send me your IMEI I will do it for you.

*** Having Problem Downloading the file ---- Google the file or

Click on any of the download button on this page http://www.multiupload.com/PKVSUKGP7Q and click on free download or regular download as the case may be and wait for the count down to finish..

If you want any help regarding any software issue
