Is there any option to remove the camera shutter sound in Nokia n79

generally no, as it is a legal issue/privacy warning  feature for those that you might accidentally take pics of. in some regions it is possible to do but not in others. you can try disabling warning tones and see if this will work. chances are that the noise is there to stay

mine doesn't make a sound, but i'm not sure how i did it :smileysad:

If you listen to the music by earphone, at the same time you take a pic, the sound is from your earphone.

Radical, that makes no sense since there are loads of cameras on the market which make no sound. And besides, how am I supposed to take sneaky pictures of girls on the beach if that damn noise keeps making them look round. EHH?

I turned off key tones and warning tones in my profile and now my camera does not make a noise. Give that a try and see if it works.
