Hi, I am assuming that you know how to do this, as in select contact-options-edit-ringing tone-select-songs-select song youmant to use-select-save. ? If so , then there is a problem with your phone. This has worked fine for me on V1.1,V1.2, and now on V2.0. So apart from a software update, a hard reset and format E, I don't know of a solution except contact Nokia.

Where have you stored your mp3 file, may I know? Unless it is E:\Sounds\ or C:\Sounds\ , you will not see it listed among ringtones.

i can only keep nokia default ringtones , i will try deepestblue's method and post the results

I am able to make ringtones in C:\Sounds , but not from memory card E:\Sounds

Well I can use any sound on my phone as a designated ring tone for an individual contact, and I store all my tracks in music on E: Mass memory. When I select edit on options for a contact the choice I get is. Download sound clip/tones/songs/video clip/sound clips/default tone. Select songs, pick the one of the 2500 tracks I have on phone and select, Works every time for me, but maybe I'm just lucky !
