N73 flashing blue light

I have an n73 with the most up to date software on it. I have recently noticed that there is a small blue light located next to the secondary camera, (front top right corner above the screen) which flashes every few seconds or so when the phone is not in use. Does anyone have any ideas what this is and how it can be stopped?

Thanks.

Re: N73 flashing blue light

The blue light is only an indicator that the phone is in stand-by mode, with a proper signal reception.

It cannot be stopped using straightforward methods.

Cheers,

Re: N73 flashing blue light

Flashing blue light denotes the device is in the sleep mode and its also a breathing notification the device gives that it is ON when the display lights are OFF , you can go to settings>display>sleep mode>switch it off i you find it disturbing.

Re: N73 flashing blue light

JFTR, that will switch sleep mode off, not just the blue light. This means that your battery life will suffer considerably if your phone never enters sleep mode.

Re: N73 flashing blue light

@grschinon Wnat does JFTR means 'just for **' ,switching off the sleep mode is implied there which results in the blue light stop blinking.

JFTR means "Just For The Record".

"Sleep mode" was not implied in your sentence, "flashing blue light" was. You started off using "flashing blue light" as the subject of the sentence and then said "switch it off if you find i[sic] disturbing". According to the grammar I was taught at school, "it" still refers to the subject of the sentence, the blue light.

I'm sure you meant sleep mode, but that's not what came across. I don't think I'm being overly pedantic here, am I? To my mind, it was ambiguous at best so I wanted to clear that up.

Re: N73 flashing blue light

Yes the way i replied doesnt mean i am telling the poster to look for something so explicit to what i mentioned to see on the phone options all i mentioned is navigating steps on the phone thats the reason i said it is implied, there is nothing wrong that you being pedantic, infact i have learnt lot of new words from your posts and blogs also i have passion towards learning the language and i cant find none other than people who are native speakers of it.
