N73 - any way to remove the camera slider function?

My N73 has problems with it's camera slider. Most of the times when i try taking photos the camera turns off because of the camera's slider faulty pins. Is there any hack to make the camera start manually or keep it always on instead of keeping it slider-dependent? The N73 is a great phone for me but this problem is very bothering. Thank you very much.

Re: N73 - any way to remove the camera slider function?

if ur fone slider has faulty pins all u can do is replace it because i havent heard bout any such hack.

i get this prob frequently and all i do is remove the slider and clean it properly with a dry cloth. its the dust inside which causes this prob most of the time. many a times camera does not start at all when the slider is opened. removing slider and cleanin it always helps.  hope this solves ur prob.

All you can do is take it to nearest nokia care to replace your slider or you can keep the slider on for every time. Just select camera from menu and then don't close the cover instead select exit.
May this helped you!
