N73 Strange Speaker

If you think that the upper speaker's volume is lower i think you can make a hard reset, or you can go to a Nokia Service, but ONLY if you are sure that the volume is lower.

Just speaking for Mumu :smileywink:

While turning the phone on press and hold the 3 key and the green call key and the *.

So it's 3 - Green key - *

Re: N73 Strange Speaker

I think it does work, it works on all of the N-series.

Only if you do it properly

Re: N73 Strange Speaker

This method of format the phone still work in N73. However, it is not acting as on Symbian 7.0s (6600), it will reset the phone to factory standard without the word formatting on screen.

I heard that this is the hard reset: while turning the phone on press and hold the 3 key and the green call key and the *. Some say that worked for their S60 3rd Edition mobile phone, other say it`s working just for S60 2nd. You should try it anyway. Or, you can make a soft reset *7370# when the phone is on then write the phone code (default is 12345) and all the software should be deleted. Your phone it would be like a brand-new one.

Re: N73 Strange Speaker

Hi

it is normal that in some sw versions the speaker volume is changed, like what happened with viper.
although it is suggested to verify in NCP if situation is normal.

Re: N73 Strange Speaker

Ive definetly got a faulty N73 wid faulty speakers.
coz i looked at my m8s n73 which has same firmware version as mine n his speaker is louder dan mine due to his top speaker being loud n bottom speaker.

my one bottom speaker is loud n top speaker is low so looks like a visist to Nokia Care Centre by post lol.. should get it back within 3 days.

Re: N73 Strange Speaker

Anyway e.g. ringing tones are limited to sound level which doesn't harm hearing when phone is near ear (appr. 105 dB from 5 cm distance), the same situation happens with music player.
