My wife and I both have N73ME and sometimes when we get calls people complain about an echo on the line, anybody else suffer this problem. We are with Vodaphone
Hi do a search on this forum. It seems to occur after disconnecting from a non Nokia Bluetooth device. The only cure is to re boot after disconnect. Loads of N73 owners have reported this to Nokia. They do not seem to be bothered. I changed to a Sony Ericsson K800i in the end. It works perfectly and I do not get any complaints now from people I call.
Seach for a thread called "Caller Echo". This is a massive problem with the N73 and appears to be in relation to using the phone with non-nokia bluetooth devices. Only solution is to reboot the phone after every time it has been connected to a non- nokia bluetooth device. Oh and by the way. NOKIA DON'T CARE ABOUT THIS PROBLEM!Read the posts you will see what I mean!
In dual mode your phone works in GSM band as well as in the WCDMA band (for 3G calls). If you want to increase your standby time switch just to GSM band. For the Echo i suggest you to lower the earpiece and speaker volume during the call.
