Does anyone have the v4 firmware version and can anyone confirm it now supports A2DP & AVRCP??

I think A2DP is hardware so i don't think it will be in the N73

No, it is not hardware concern. It already confirmed all over internet that new V4.xxx of N73 support A2DP and should also be AVRCP. If it is hardware thing, why MSI already have a usable Symbian program for N73 to send stereo signal to a compatible stereo bluetooth HS. I am using it fine, only one drawback is it supports only MP3 format.

I have the MSI player installed too and I can confirm to you that it´s no longer needed after the v4.0 firmware update.

It´s true, A2DP and AVRCP implemented!

With AVRCP I´m able to control not only the music player, but real player also.

The AVRCP is just a profile installed in the new firmware, it doens´t have any settings or activation.

With it it´s possible to control the Media Player and the Real Player remotely, using the buttons on my bluetooth headset (like pause, play, previous, next and volume).

With this profile I can just put my phone in the pocket and control music (and video), just using the headset commands.

This will work with car bluetooth devices too, so you can change tracks and adjust volume using the radio commands.

Hi,

I'm trying very hard to find this firmware update (V4.0)but it seems to be gone.
I've tried the software updater and the Nokia websites.
They all say there's no update available!

Have they retrieved it maybe?

And is it possible to get it somewhere else?

I have tested the N73 today with 4.0726.2.0.1 on a Parrot MK6100 carkit and A2DP and AVRCP worked like a charm!
I was possible to start and pauze the music as well to scroll forward and backwards to my music.

per haps i'm a "noob" but i would like to instal my headset bluetooth on my N73, unfortunatly i don't know how to download the new firmware! and also how to use MSI blue player, it write "does no support mp3 file "!!!

just download nokia software updater from nokia site or google it and you need the cable to use it though. then follow the instructions thta it gives you, but once you update the firmware all personal information will be lost so make sure to back it all up using nokia backup

Hi,

in fact i have a bad number of product 0539336, with it, NSU purpose me only the 3.34.XX version, not the 4 !!!!
forum, by forum, i found an hardware, who change my product number (i loose my garanty but nevermind ! ) i over write a new number and it's work !!! it's incredible, now the NSU purpose me the 4 version with A2DP !
So now it's ok for A2DP, i've got a bug with my gps Bluetooth ! i think that nokia it's not ok with the new technologie ! so i'll come back to Smartphone Windows mobile, less stable, but all compatible !
it's a shame for Nokia ( i read that the bluetooth gps it's only compatible with nokia device)
so if somebody know something else about the gps bluetooth, he's welcome

Yes, you can do that.
For that, first go to www.nokia.com/softwareupdate, download Nokia Software Updater.
Install it, it will upgrade your phone.
Keep in mind:
During upgrade:
-Make sure your battery is fully charged.
-Your phone is in Genral profile mode.

I have a sony ericson bluetooth headset but but in my nokia n95 backward dont work.
