N700 screen auto lock

Hi

Any N700 user getting due to the screen auto lock (stayed unlocked for a max of 5 mins) when there's a button at the side just for screen lock ? You have to alway press the menu key to unlock whenever there's a message comes in after the 5 mins

Is there any program to disable the screen lock & just have the screen saver "on" ?

Thanks

Re: N700 screen auto lock

Hi monicaxx23 , did you just copied the whole message from my post on the 25th Dec 2011 ? It's okay and to let you know , I found this "keepiton" program . It will not lock the screen but it doesn't goes to sleep to let the screen saver start . It will drain your battery as it is alway "on" until you closed the program .

Re: N700 screen auto lock

Have you actually tried using Keepiton? It doesn't work the way one would expect it to work... It seems to work by extending the auto screen lock etc timeout only by itself running as an application. So if you set the extra timeout value in there and come out of the program, nothing happens! The program has to be left running, it seems. There was a far better written application called Car Pack, from Tektronik.ro (who seem to have vanished so even if you can find the app you cannot install it because you had to get an IMEI-based install code from them) which I have on two Nokia E51 phones and which works superbly. It would be interesting to know if anybody has managed to test one of the cracked versions of the Car Pack on a N700.

Yes peterh337 , I am using the "keepiton" when I need the screen to be on longer than the maximum 5 minutes & shut down "keepiton" when I do not need it anymore . FYI ; there is nothing to set in this program , either you have it "ON" or "OFF" & it's a free program .
