N70 and MMC

Hi.
I recently had my stolen N70 replaced by the insurance company. However, they refused to supply a MMC saying that this was an accessory.
Has anyone had similar problems?
The insurance was taken through dial-a-phone with Allianz Cornhill. I am so annoyed with AC that will end 3 phone policies but just wanted to know if this is standard or them being particulary odd.
Thanks

Re: N70 and MMC

Hmm a bit mean of the insurance company in order to penny pinch but I believe the MMC cards are supplied by the networks not by Nokia so I guess in that respect they are classed as accessories.

Which raises another question... do those people who bought a sim free N70 handset ever get an MMC memory card or did they have to go out and source one separately.

Either way, still mean of AC.

Looking at the sales package for the phone, the MMC card comes with it, so i'd assume those who bought SIM free phones still got an MMC card.
(although it does say the configuration can vary from the default 64Mb depending on country, etc)

I believe that that your insurance policy is to cover the handset and NOT the accessories. They probably say something like the insurance cover is to cover the handset and to replace said handset with a like for like replacement or a unit of similar value.

Unfortunately, I don't think that you can claim for the loss of the MMC card as it is classed as an accessory.
