This is caused not by the physical memory but the RAM memory.
- You might have some applications running which cases this, sometimes even you dont have anything running at the background.
-by restarting your phone it will close the apps but the app may start running again and your issue re-occurs.
-Try to reset your phone completely by following these steps :
- A restore by keying in *#7780# when on standby - This will not delete any data but will restore all the settings back to default.
If that does not help then you may wanna try doing a soft reset by keying in *#7370# when on standby - This will reformat the phone. DO NOT FORGET TO DO A BACK UP AS THIS WILL ERASE YOUR ENTIRE PHONE MEMORY.
The security code by default is 12345
If this fails as well then you may try doing the Hard reset by performing the 3 finger reset. You can do this by switching the phone on with the '3', '*' and green 'call' buttons pressed at the same time.

The 3-finger deep reset is to reformat your phone memory. Your phone memory will be as fresh as out from the factory.
To do this, first turn off the phone. Then,
press and hold down the following keys:
-> Keypad 3
-> Keypad '*' (The asterisk or star key)
-> The green call button
Now turn on the phone without releasing the above said keys.Keep the keys pressed until you see the signs of life in your N70, ie., until you see the Welcome logo and hear the Nokia startup tune.

As described by deepestblue or you just try the *#7370# first... But remember it will reformat your phone and delete all data from your phone...
Security code is 12345 by default.

Dear All,
I have tried *#7370# as well as hard reset and it started working fine. But as soon as I restored backup then again it is causing MEMORY FULL issue. Please suggest something else. Phone was working with the same configurations and application since one year but suddenly it is facing MEMORY FULL issue.
is there any solution of this problem. Is it known problem to NOKIA?
waiting for prompt response.

When you do a backup, you back up everything on the phone including virus, bad application sectors and whatever which may be causing your issue.
So when you restore you are putting it all back to your phone i.e which ever is causing the problem is going back to your phone.
Do not restore the entire backup file, just try restoring the contacts, calander and for you applications you may need to re-download and reinstall them.

thanks Kingpin007
thanks for restore by keying in *#7780# , It worked for me . i did not know this code !
i had the same 'Memory full issue and use to format the mobile and loose my contact coz once this error start appearing then it cannot support for backup . so one has to either note down the contact or save in SIM . but now its easier.
