N70 Generic Firmware?

If I update my N70 to a generic rather than the Three firmware, will I lose all my message centre and internet connection, etc?

Your settings can be directly sent to you from the setup option under settings on nokia.co.uk. You can then enter your phone model, network etc and then they will be directly sent to your mobile.
