Hi All,

While opening an sms, my phone hang.

I restarted the phone , and it took a long while to restart - longer than usual.

After it restarted, I realised all my sms are gone, all 2500 of them.

I normally store them in my memory card.

How can i possibly retrieve my sms? pls help, I need some data from them.

Are you sure the message storage is set to memory card itself? Sometimes, after a hang-up, the message storage location defaults to phone memory.

If that's correctly set, then make sure your memory card is working fine. If there's a corruption, then you might not be able to get back the messages stored there.

As a general tip, it's better to use the phone memory to store texts rather than using the memory card. The latter makes the phone slower and it takes too long to open and send texts. Switch to memory card only when you receive some heavy file thru bluetooth or IR.

Yeah, it is set to Memory Card only...

And I am able to view the images/songs stored in the MMC..

only the text messages are not visible.

Please advice..
