Haai everyone,
I just need a bit of help.
I recently got my phone,
it was working fine,
then all of a sudden it would not receive messages,
I turned it off and back on and I would receive the messages that people sent,
I could reply to people but I would get no reply unless I turned it off and on again,
Its not because of my simcard, I've put multiple simcards and it does the same thing.

Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone know how to fix it ?

Since the phone is new, is it updated to the latest firmware? Connect it to your PC via PC suite mode and open the Nokia Software on your PC (It should come with the installer CD when you bought your phone), and connect your phone. Check for available updates and install the firmware update.

this happened to my phone also , i do not have the cd rom is there any other way i can fix it ?

You need Nokia software updater? Click here: http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/device-software-update# and choose youre phonemodel. - Then you will get the option to downloade NSU.

Click run and let the program install. After it's installed it will automaticly run and tell you what to do. If it don't auto start. reboot your pc and start the program.

The program will let you know what to do (when to connect etc) Remember that you have to choose pc suite mode on your phone.

If you don't have backed up your content (contacts, messages etc) you should do that first.

You can use Nokia pc suite for that. - Then you have everything backed up if anything should go wrong.

Or you can use OVI suite which has both, but I think that software is a bit too bloaty for my taste yet.

Note: Before you run the updater. Make sure you have a full battery on your phone, disable antivirus and firewall on your computer and make sure the computer has the latest updates. Don't run any other programs while updating. Don't disconnect your phone or do anything to it while updating.
