but as  i know this update is keeps your data as it is

Try Playlist DJ from Ovi Store, it's free at the moment and works really well, may solve your problem pemanently !

I've updated, music player unaffected, but did hard reset when it was, I'd rather have phone running smooth as possible and re-arrange music player ! Your Choice !

I updated my n97 to v21 the other day, all my music was untouched, however, i had to rescan the library after installation. i'm  guessing that as long as you have saved your playlists as actual files (i dont know how playlists created inside the music app work, but i have an m3u file in every album folder anyway)... all "normal" playlists stored in the music folders were detected on the rescan.

ATTENTION !! ALL PLAYLISTIS ERASED AND DELETED AFTER UPDATING AND COULD NOT RECOVERED BY RESTORING BY OVI CONTENT COPIER........ I REPEAT ALL PLAYLIST WILL BE DELETED AFTER UPDATE AND U WILL HAVE TO RECREATE IT AGAIN AND EVEN IF U WILL GONNA TO RESTORE UR BACKUP FROM UR COMPUTER IT WILL NOT RETURN BACK.....THE ONLYYYYY SOLUTION IS TO KNOW WHERE THOSE PLAYLIST FILES LOCATED ON THE N97 MEMORIES AND I THINK THERE EXTENTION SHOUD BE .M3U BUT I AM NOT SURE PLEASE PLEASE IF ANYBODY KNOWS WHERE THEY ARE TO TELL US AND I AM GONNA TO CREATE A NEW TOPIC ABOUT THIS IN ORDER TO SAVE THOSE FILES ON COMPUTER BEFORE UPDATE AND THANKS ....N.B. I MEAN I THIS TOPIC THE PLAYLISTS AND NOT THE SOUND AND MUSIC FILES.
