Hi, can anyone tell me what type of movies play on my N80? I've put movies on from my hardrive but when I go to play them I get a message saying that the phone doesn't play this type of file. Should I be converting the files somehow or am I doing some thing else wrong? Thanks, Mark.

Mp4 is the format I believe. Maybe with some software it would be many others too.

The N80 will be able to play .MP4 and .3GP format movie files, assuming the right CODECS are used.

If you are willing to buy 3rd party software such as SmartMovie from Lonely Cat Games then your N80 will also play .avi format movie files.

If you have movies in other formats such as .mpg or .wmv then you could always convert them to .MP4 or .3gp using a variety of Windows software. One that I find very good and it's also freeware is SUPER by eRightSoft.

I've got the Divx player on mine... can play most of my stuff between that & smartmovie...

I agree, this is great software, when I first wrote my original reply DivX Mobile hadn't been released.

DivX Mobile Player is almost identical to SmartMovie in every respect only it's legitimate freeware whereas SmartMovie is payware...
