I have a problem getting my Mobile Dictionary app to work on my 5800XM. It used to work fine, but now each time I start up the app it briefly shows the main screen (where I can see the words 'no date') then shuts down again.
If I install a language pack it installs fine, but when I start up the Dictionary application I am presented with only two options - remove the language pack or exit. If I remove the language pack then I am dumped back out again as soon as it uninstalls.
This is driving me nuts!
Anyone have any advice?
Thanks!

Hi, this won't solve your problem directly, but if you download Snaptu from the web , it has a great Dictionary, plus many other useful features, its one of the shortcuts I have on my home screen.
Good Luck

Hey, thanks for the tip. I had not come across Snaptu before and it was like opening a christmas present when it's multi-icon screen first came up
Lots to explore in there, and the dictionary looks good.
Still wish I could get the Nokia Dictionary app to work though - it is good for quick translations (my Swedish is hopeless) and you can use it offline. If anyone knows how to fix this I'm all ears!
Cheers

Tiny niggle is that it still requires an online connection, but I'm not planning on a Skandinavian translation of War and Peace so not a biggy!

No probs, I'm always Googling 'symbian apps' or 'apps for N97' and every now and then find something good. Enjoy.
