Hello Everyone,
I have been having problems with my N73 - Music Edition lately. I had to get its firmware reinstalled a few days back as the phone won't go beyond the NOKIA screen on startup.
That did solve the issue however now its camera and gallery shortcut button backlights are permanently on and theres nothing i can do besides removing the battery that would turn them off. Also the volume control backlights won't light up. The buttons are working fine.
Would be glad if someone would help me.
Regards,
Mughees

I think you first try a three fingers hard reset.
If that fails I am afraid you have to reinstall the FW again, this time Nokia Care point should do it for you.

Before trying the four finger reset, try these two codes. If the first doesn't solve your issue try the second. Make sure you make a back up of any data that you want to keep. Enter them like dialing a phone number.
Reset to factory defaults (*#7780#) : Restores settings but preserves user data (photos, 3rd party apps etc).
Reset (*#7370#) : This reformats completely the C: drive. All applications and files stored on this drive will be lost and clean default files will be rewritten.
Hard reset:
If all fails then sadly the only option is a nokia care point.

hi all i am having problems with my n 73. It keeps turning its self off. This happens when it is in my pocket, eventhought the keyguard is on. the other day i realised that of the front of the handset gets knocked or firm pressure is applyed the phone will turn off.
Also the camera will no longer zoom in or out and the volume will only go down and not up. i thought i had fixed this when i update the phone software but to no avail the problem is still there.
can anyone help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So sorry about to hear about that. Now that you've told us that the problem persists even after a firmware update, it could be something serious.Has the phone been subjected to heavy mechanical shock, such as falling from your pocket? I would suggest that you take it to a Nokia Care Center. There is high chance of a hardware problem that obviously an end user like you and me won't be able to rectify.
