I just saw this at http://europe.nokia.com/services-and-apps/messaging/download#/nokia-n8/

When you click the Chat icon, it will reveal an instruction to start Instant Messaging app on your N8. Though it never existed.

 If you follow the instruction you get the message  " Unforetunately, your device does not support the Nokia instant messaging client "

 So still no IM for the N8.

and when you follow the provided link in the link above it doesn't take you anywhere except to the nokia website. Also in OVI store I can't find it..... Luckily we still have nimbuzz and fring for free (video)calls

If nokia is smart they create a chat program which also supports videocalls for the common chat clients (yahoo, WLM etc)

the chat app client & widget was there in N8 but after factory restore its lost

& now i cant find it to reinstall

 I've never come across a chat client on my N8. Maybe it's dependent on your mobile phone operator. I'm on Virgin Mobile and I didn't even have any games pre-installed on my phone.

I also suspect that because it was such a rush job to get the N8 on the market, quite a few features were left out of the software at launch, but might be added in the first firmware update.

Lol it's not new old news and it's not very good need version for n8 with widget

How do you mean it's available from a fanclub site?

Is it officially available? How can I get it from Nokia?

If I can't, it's not available and it's still a case of false advertising.
