This should hold good for all the devices ...but my personal experience (..and of many other users as mentioned on this Forum) .. connection problems observed with Power Saving Mode ON...

Wi-Fi power saving seems to be much more efficient in Symbian Belle than it was in Anna and previous versions. More testing is needed, but I just leave it enabled for now, with power saving on, and see how the battery drain is over the next few days.
To sort out connection problems with Wi-Fi power saving ON in my N8 with Belle:
Settings -> Connectivity -> Admin. settings -> Mobile data -> Access point
manually input Internet
(the name of the group of Access points in Network destinations to use)
Now Belle connects to Wi-Fi automatically, using the priority in Network destinations. And when Nokia Maps insist on using Wi-Fi to download new country map data, it connects to Wi-Fi automatically also when Wi-Fi has lower priority.

You're right, it was empty at mobile data, but at home it selected my home WIFI and away goes on 3G, I'm not sure what this serves. I put it as you suggested. Strange thing happens when an unknown WIFI appears and you connect once, if the second time it is not seen it does not go on 3G. It only say no connection available, maybe that's the idea of the setting you said.
The same thing with connection priority was available too in Anna. Most of the people that complained that they do not have Internet anymore after Belle did not bother to learn about configuring the connections, or did not get the idea of a complete OS renewal from Anna to Belle.
