The 4GB SD card from SanDisk works on the N95. Check their site

Re: I love my N95

Hello again,

I have a question concerning the GPS.
Does anyone know how you can view your trip after you finished. I.e. the line that you followed- I can't find it anywhere- does it not keep track of the route as a topographical data saved afterwards?

Cheers,
Chryssa

As far as I'm aware there's no way to do this - however if you know the start and end points of your journey, there's nothing to stop you getting the N95 to recreate the route - this is subject to the N95 choosing the same method of course !

Re: I love my N95

Thanks, Edward!

I thought there might be an option somewhere since other GPS devices have the software for it.One more question, under the Route Planner menu what is the difference between start navigation and start tracking? Maybe that is it?

Chryssa

Re: I love my N95

No problem.

Navigation gives you a turn by turn commentary with voice and is chargeable (i.e. you have to pay for it).

Turn by turn does pretty much the same thing but no voice.

Re: I love my N95

same here!

love my n95... it does what it offers... for me that is enough to say that this phone is great!!! i have read several posts of those people complaining this and that... all i can say is that not all phones are built without bugs... if they want a bug-free N95, then they should wait probably years from now... haha!!!

for me as long as it does what it was designed to be capable of, i'd say "THUMBS UP NOKIA!!!".

in our place, i think this is the only phone with gps built-in - that's a plus! so i don't care if others complain that it takes minutes for the gps to lock-on, for me having gps is enough.

a 5mp camera! another first in our place. again, that's enough for me... others complain the camera function having spots etc. yet it's just on the screen once you took the shot, its no longer there!!! if you're unhappy with how the picture looks, then adjust the CAMERA SETTINGS to suit your preference... wohoo!!! nice to have such a great device!!!

regarding the battery consumption, i agree with the post in this thread, you can't expect a device with a lot of GREAT functions to consume less power. if you want your battery to last for days then don't use it, leave it in your pocket and conserve its power. it all depends on HOW YOU USE IT!

for those who complain a lot about the phone's functions, may i suggest reading the USER'S MANUAL... hehe... if the manual says the "phone can do this, can't do that" then please bare with it and don't expect the CAN'Ts to be CAN in the firmware updates...

another point is that if nokia and the other brands would just put everything possible in their devices - software market, add-ons, FREEWARES will no longer exist and think of those whose income comes from software market... what if you were them?

peace-out!!! PROUD TO BE A NOKIA USER!!! wohoo!!! MORE POWER!!! and.........

:smileywink: :smileyhappy: :smileyvery-happy: " I LOVE MY N95!!! " :smileyvery-happy: :smileyhappy: :smileywink:

Would you tell me which case do you use for jogging with your N95 and use the built-in GPS?

Thanks!

[ Edited ]
The Nokia N95 is a damn jewel! I mean other people say 'oh I like my SE or Samsung cos it looks nice or has a better battery life' - mindless morons.

N95 is like splitting the atom all over again or re-inventing the wheel!

A 5mp Carl Zeiss Autofocus camera, GPS, WLAN, 3.5G, MicroSDHC, DVD quality recording, VoIP, IM, PTT, Radio, DivX compatabilty...(Need I go on?)

I mean when someone says 'oh my N95 is bad do they really see exactly what it can do?

This phone can replace BOTH ipod and your video player!

Go and buy a 16GB MicroSD card instead of wasting your money on an ipod and then see what this phone can REALLY do.

If anyone says once more the N95 is bad I'm gonna kill them!

Re: I love my N95

I love mine too! Working in Thailand with my N95 I read all the papers. Browse the internet, keep in touch with friends back home via email, watch sky news, listen to all the podcasts. I even watch movies with Real Player, listen to all the BBC radio I want and watch the BBC news downloads!Take great pictures and video and upload to Twango so family and frends back home can veiw!Play great games: Skyforce, Alien pinball, Tomb Raider. Love using Peerbox! Get all weather and travel info via worldmate. And with all the music I want to hear on it too. Oh yeah and make phone calls! The N95 is a great multi-media device and I haven't even listed all the things I've got mine set up to do.One thing I have learned over time is something folks back home don't always have the luxury of; is don't buy a branded phone. My N series phones have always worked great over here. Some thing I’ve noticed is most people don’t know how to use these devices. They use them in dumb mode . I to don’t have to much of an issue with the battery considering every thing it does.Well done Nokia, this one really takes the biscuit!

Re: I love my N95

Hellooo,

It's been a while and that only means that I am quite happy with my N95!! I have a question though: Most times when I find a WLAN that is free and I start web browsing it says: "No Gateway reply" What does that mean? (I admit I am not too good with this connection stuff)

Agree, don kill me, cuz I just simply not disagree to that fact.
Even the nu classic ipod will be a **bleep** just like the 5.5 G ipod video.
