I recently bought an app from OVI store to try it.. It is so interesting I deleted the app to install it on C drive instead of D
but I cannot.. so Nokia, I cannot install the apps I purchased but the boingo junk is stuck to my system no matter how many times I reflash the thing? where is the logic in that? how much is Boingo? let me pay %40 percent of Boingo's cost to get it out of my system!

I managed to get rid of it by making new back up with PC Suite normally just with out checking the SETTINGS or similar and then restoring the same back up. Of course you have retype some settings after restoring the backup.
Then I moved the Boingo icon to sub folder where I rarely visit.
I did find those Qik and espesially Joiku very usefull and am using the a lot.

Guys, guess wat?!!!
Adobe PDF reader is strangely a trial app. After 30 days u need to buy it! It's totally unlike previous mobiles of N-Series!
AND the worst thing, u can't uninstall it. It's not available on Apps Manager!
So either u have to live with it non-functional on the mobile or buy it!!!
Wat an annoying thing from Nokia..![]()

WHAT?? I don't want to be force to have a software on a phone that I payed $650.00.
So, I hope that NOKIA get theirselves together. If I want to clean ALL my apps, I should be able to do it.

I contacted Boingo support about this and they did eventually reply. Here is what they said:
Thanks for contacting Boingo Wireless.
The application is hardwired into the NOKIA n97 device. It cannot be removed.
The access point refers to HOTSPOTS all hotspot or wifi signals can still
be veiwed or picked up by the device.
The BOINGO app does not interfer with that. It will prefer to use its known providers, BOINGO HOTSPOTS.
Restore to a master reset (*#7370#) The access point will be gone but the Boingo application will still be there and still refuse to be deleted.
Having Boingo access point at a higher priority (or lower priority) does not make any difference if the user is not using Boingo.
Refer to NOKIA n97 users manual

I am also really angry about this crapware that I cannot uninstall. I woukd have REALLY liked a WORKING pdf reader, not a trial that is not removable and eats up memory for NOTHING. And QuickOffice? If I try to create a new document, guess what? I have to pay!
So I pay 600 Euros for a phone that cannot read PDF files, cannot edit Office files, unless, of course, I am willing to PAY MORE.
So I am stuck with a lot of crapware that is useless and I cannot uninstall, but Nokia has removed the VOIP client that I used to have in my N95. Maybe that was too useful and had to be removed?
Sum up this problems with the variuous bugs, the camera lens that gets scratched, the poor GSM reception... and you have a good reason to go back to the N95 and eventually buy an HTC phone, next time.
Bu the real issue is that Nokia does not care at all. No one from Nokia reads this forum, except for moderators who just remove bad words from angry customers.

Remember when computers used to come bundled with compuserve and AOL dialers that ate the computer and ruined things when trying to use other ISP? Remember how everyone got really annoyed with that? Nokia bundling non-removable 15 second trial software? How very very 1996 of you, Nokia!
All this and they've installed "windows 95" on a 50MB c: whilst having a 32GB d: clever!
The 66% drop is profits you are experiencing is NOT helped with your seriously un-user-friendly attitude to your products. Bundling software that not only doesn't work, but requires either a subscription or additional payment to use and preventing users from disabling, removing or deleting is just one of about 50 serious complaints about a product that is being used as your shining beacon against the likes of the iphone, the palm pre and the numerous googley handsets out there. For someone who has technically been in the "smart phone" business longest, you are JUST TRYING to ruin yourselves? People in Nokia upper management needs their heads knocked together.. and maybe your should re-hire your QA team?
Two weeks and still no firmware for my unbranded handset and many icons/apps that don't even start.. how very pointless

N97 is my last stupid Nokia device. I will NEVER BUY or USE any stupid things from companies that DO NOT RESPECT their customers like NOKIA and BOINGO.
