Due to the self harming lens cover mechanism I keep the lens cap open at all times. Today I wanted to play around Nokia Maps 3.1 and I was shocked that I couldn't connect to any satellites. I was cursing my luck as I was reading the forum about people who had GPS connectivity related problems.

 

As I was walking to the place where I bought the N97 to return it I decided to close the lens cap and suddenly the GPS connected and started working perfectly. 

 

So the GPS receiver in Nokia N97 does not work when the lens cap is open. Weird isn't it? :smileyhappy: :smileyhappy:
