Help! - N810 Device Memory Low

Can anyone tell me why my device memory would be showing only 33.7 mb free on my N810? I have almost nothing installed and when I go to control panel and click on memory I get the following under device memory details:

Total size = 249.5 mb

In use = 212.9 mb

Available 36.6 mb

But under data it only show 1.46 MB in documents and 86.0 MB installed applications. Where is the rest of the internal memory going? What else could I do to get it back. I have tried restoring and clearing the device with no success...
