Hi, all of a sudden the mass memory on my phone is unavailable. I can't see any of my photos or see any of my music files. I can't even see how much memory is available to me in file manager. I can't take photos as the phone won't allow me to set photos to store in mass memory. Thumbnails using photos stored in my mass memory still show up in contacts but when a contact rings only a little thumbnail shows up, not the large photo that did previously.
Can I regain access to my files or are they lost. Is this a permanent situation or can I at least regain access to the memory? Is my phone definitely faulty and in need of replacement? I have tried only removing the battery with no success.
I am using an unbranded handset with the latest software version V20. Can anyone help please?

Sounds like somethings broken / courupted
try to format the mass memory
If that doesn't work take the phone to a nokia care point for repair

Have u tried using external card reader to connect via ure computer? please run ScanDisk and test out wat happens to ure card, if you cant fix using scandisk, .. the use this freeware to recover ure images, photo's and songs.

Remember it only recovers ure photo's and songs not other data files !

Could this be due to a low condition battery?

If it says Mass Memory In Use after you connected to PC , it might appear again if you reconnect couple of times & make sure its in PC Mode. ... BUT if you were just using the phone like browsing photos & suddenly it crashed & said memry in USE .. you gotta take it to repeair center .. that's what happened to me & phone was swaped ... took 2 months :/ sorry if this is bad news ,
but the whole thing ended up getting me a more stable Board & a New Camera Cover instead of the Scratched one .

Reinstall the firmware, using the nokia updater.
