Full Format N97 - How to Restore Programs/Apps

If I do a full format of my N97 where will I find all the setup/installation files of the programs I have already installed to save them in order to re-install after format or will I have to download them all again??

well, there's an option to backup your phone before resetting or updating it. but i suggest you not to do this because if your phone has any problem when you are backing it up, then the problem will be saved into the back-up file...

Type *#7370# in standby. Then dial the lock code (default is 12345)

You will normally have to re-install any apps after a reset, but I've never had a problem doing this (except having to re-pay for a couple from Ovi Store ) anything I can get direct I save on my computer as sis. files and drag and drop back on the phone. It's also a chance to 'streamline' your apps, and just install stuff you really want and use !

100's of posts on reset and formating, but you don't necessarily have to format E, just try the soft reset first and only back up contacts, calendar and notes and you should be fine.
