I'm unable to set up a email, after confirming my email address, the phone pops up with "maxium number of connections in use close an active connection first"

but the ONLY application that is open is the Email set up one, when this is closed the phone says unable to connect to server !

minimize it and go to Connections manager and see how many destinations/access points are connected?

only the home screeen and menu applications are open and unable to close those.

Settings>connectivity>connection mgr.

You don't need to close Home screen, or menu.

there are no other apps open. seems like a setting issue any ideas

the error msg above doesn't says to close any applications.
IT SAYS TO CLOSE NETWORK CONNECTIONS.

for that; "go to Connections manager and see how many connections are established?"
if there are more than 1, disconnect them.
(This happened to me as well, my both Wap and internet connections were connected, two different apps were using each of them.)

ok. Re checked there was only one network connection open vodafone live . And still have the error message

Try Factory settings;
*#7780# enter you lock code, default code is 12345

(IT WON'T DELETE ANYTHING, but only settings)
