E series battery

I have an E70 and the battery needs recharging daily, even if I don't use the phone. I have turned off the 3G, the wi fi, even the blue tooth, but it still needs a daily charge. My firmware is 1.0610.05.06. The phone is great, otherwise. Are others having same/similar problems--or do I have a bum battery/phone?

You have an older firmware, upgrade it to 1.0610.05.07 and post back if this fixed your problem please.

Mine doesn't use alot of power, but I don't use 3G at all.

My Father E60 can't stand for 1 day without recharging it, while he switched of 3G but it stills use alot of power.

Very weird.

Re: E series battery

Yes that is weird. I have used this phone now almost 2 weeks and now it seems that my average battery recharge gap is something between 2-3 days. I talk about 1hour/day with this phone

Re: E series battery

I have an E60 and I can go at most 2 days between recharging but with moderate use (say 2 hours a day) it must be charged nightly. I also do not use 3G. I hope that the new firmware (when it gets here) will improve the battery performance.

Re: E series battery

In order to descover what program drain the E70 baterry, I made a lot of tests, installing and desinstalling progs.
My conclusion is that the screen saver from Handy Clock is the most power eater. With this screen saver enabled, every night must be charged, no mather if the pfone is used or not. With the svreensaver disabled, I have my phone working for full 3 days.
Also the Mail for Exchange, originaly in the phone I have to desinstall because I do not use it and that program want to write logs every 5 minutes about the activity.
Maybe is useful for others too, to know that.

My E70 had fm version 1.0610.05.06, upgraded via the NSC, to 1.0610.05.07, I didn't notice anything has changed, I'm sure there is, but maybe wont appear to phone users, as new feature or so, it's a fix for something for sure.

Many posts in the NSU forum advised users to not update via NSU yet.

It will kill your E70 and you'll have to take it to NSC to flash it again.

Re: E series battery

Hello!
I installed 2.0618.06.05 for E-60 yesterday. I installed Autolock from fuse.stc.cx/autolock. It works fine and don't eat a lot. There are several applications such as MailForExchange 1.3.0 and WorldMate 3.00.43.
For all of them the battery expenditure is enough for 3 days.

Re: E series battery

awesome, just friday night I finished the instalation.First test was to check the battery usage with screesaver from handy clock activated. It's the same power eater like befor. With original Nokia screensaver, before frmw update, I was able to use phone for 5 days. Now, it's the first day. Will see next week if it's better or not.
