Re: Dont buy N-Gage games.

The information in the above article is misleading. In the event that you change your phone to another N-gage compatible handset, you can have your licences transferred from the old to the new IMEI number.

I know little of the system myself as I am not personally involved in the N-gage project, but I believe that you have to contact Nokia Care with your N-gage account details and your licences will be released from the old IMEI in much the same way that licences are transferred for users of Nokia Maps.

Also N-gage has its own forum where more knowledgeable people about N-gage games may be able to help with this and other issues you may be having.

Actually, the article is 100% accurate.

You CANNOT get the games transferred to your new IMEI number.

If you actually read the article you'll find out we tried to transfer games ourselves, using the method you mention. Nokia care told us they could not do it unless they were replacing a broken phone under guarantee.

We then asked some senior Nokia officials involved with the N-gage project to confirm this, and they too said you CANNOT transfer games. Once you buy an N-Gage game onto a phone, it's stuck there forever, you cannot move games onto a new phone. That's official Nokia policy.

If you don't believe me, try doing it yourself, e-mail your local Nokia customer care people and ask if they can transfer N-Gage games from your old phone to your new phone. They will answer no.

Re: Dont buy N-Gage games.

you would have to get the hassle of going to nokia care just to get your ngage games back....come on..nokia should have come up with something better than that!

We tried that and it doesn't work.

Nokia's official policy is that if you change phones you will NEVER get your games back.
