Hello,
I just got my first s60 phone (E66) after many s40. How can I customize/replace the home screen with a text list of any of the available submenu choices, such as
Alarm
WLAN
Vibration
Timer
Bluetooth
Some profile
etc.
This was a cinch with my s40 6021... I could live with small icons to the left of each choice, but a text list menu, available as home screen or eventually with a key press, is definitely what I'm looking for. I can program (Python), but don't tell me I can't do that with the base OS...

The closest you can get to that is is with active standby which I THINK is available on all Nokia smartphones and most s40 phones.
check the user guide to see if it doesn't show how to enable this on your phone
Edit: I think page 37 would be a good place to start

Thanks, I know about the home screen, but it only offers a limited choice of top-level shortcuts. Maybe I could find what I'm looking for in a custom theme?
