Hi All
,
I have installed a few apps and then uninstalled them, i was wondering if there was anyway of doing a clean up in case there might be any bits left behind, like you can on the pc.
My phone is Nokia N95 8gb
i try different apps and if i no longer use them or they are rubbish i uninstall them so was wondering if there was a way of doing this.![]()

The only way to truly clean the phone is a hard reset, but this will involve a lot of work setting the phone back up ! If you back up your Contacts, Calendar and Notes ONLY , then Dial *#7370# followed by 12345 the phone will reset to 'out of the box' and have the maximum free memory available, you will then need to restore the backup and install any apps you want to use and adjust the settings to how you want them. If the phone is working OK I'd leave it, as it can take 3-4 hours to reset everything if you have a lot of 'stuff' on the phone, you will however have a 'New' handset ![]()
Good Luck

Thanks for the quick reply, yes the phone is working fine, just don't like the idea that things might be left behind that shouldn't be there any more if you no what i mean lol.. but like i said i do get rid of what i don't want any more,so maybe i will leave it for now, thought there might be a easier solution.
thanks again![]()

@Phonehacker-Depends what you've got on the phone and how you want it setting up, spent 5hours restoring N97 at weekend including format E. Just a reset and restore Contacts, calendar and notes about 30 minutes, but if you have a number of apps that need re-downloading and installing and you don't like the factory setup it's a couple of hours work, plus N95 has no data protection so you would have to restore everything, so it depends how much stuff you have on the phone ?
The actual reset is a two minute operation !
