Chating application for N97

hi, I am searching for a application using which I can chat with my friends, like GTalk. Do we have a mobile version of GTalk which supports N97. I tried using Windows Live from Nokia website however later I found out that N97 is not among supported devices. :smileysad:  Please let me know if you know any such applications.

Thanks

Give parlingo a try, it may do the job:

You can also try these too:

www.nimbuzz.com

www.fring.com

II prefere Nimbuzz, as I have never had any issues with it, at least using it as my windows live messenger app. But as Psychomania says: Palringo might do the job
Thank me by Kudos me.

For chatting with ovi users and/or GTalk users you can also use Nokia's own chat program Ovi Contacts. Available from the Software Update application on your N97 and http://contacts.ovi.com/dist/app

Re: Chating application for N97

I use Palringo. Mostly because it was the first good one I could find when it first came out (Nimbuzz originally had this weird issue with not showing all the text I was typing, and I think Fring adds footers to all your messages). Another one I recommend is Slick, it's in beta at the moment and I imagine they will charge for it when it's final, but for now it's pretty good.

One thing I did notice though is that Slick uses about 400k data (I think, maybe it was less but I know it was high) when you sign in. Palringo seems to be pretty data efficient.

Another vote for Palringo here.  I covers all the main chat services and as mentioned above, it's pretty data efficient.
