Hello,

I'm experiencing some problems with my 5800xm... I can't install any application.
The install process goes as usual but when it should display the loading progress bar, the installer simply closes.

I tried soft reset, hard reset, reinstalled the firmware with ovi suite (i have v31.0.101) but still doesn't work.
I even tried to install apps using pc suite... but same story.

Any ideas how to solve the problem? Thanks..

actually the SOFT RESET(*#7370#) should solve ur prob but still if it cant help, as u ve tried each n every thing, then go to ur nearest NOKIA CARE CENTRE and get the prob solved.

Where are you installing the apps to? The phone or the memory card?

If it's the memory card, it may be corrupted so you could back up any stuff you have on it and format the card to see if that solves the problem.

@poirot: yes i tried both phone memory and card, none worked


the problem simply solved itself (don't know how) after updating nokia maps with the built-in "App. update". Thanks any way for quick reply!

i'm having the same problem.whenever i want to install an app it keep saying ''no memory left on your phone memory,please delete some data...'' it's annoying,by the way,i'm installing only apps from the ovi suite or by nokia ovi recommendation

Which memory are you trying to install the apps to ? You have a very limited amount of available space on C phone memory and soo it may be worth removing some apps and setting your Ovi account to install apps to F memory card, also clearing the privacy data in the browser will create some space on C phone memory.

Further to what carman58 suggested.. if you are refering to the OVI Maps(..what I could make out from your attachment..) then it can be installed ONLY in Phone Memory and you should have something like 15 to 18 MB free for that.. so you will have to un-install some of the applications from the Phone memory..
