Can't format Nokia 5800 (memory full)

When I boot the phone I get several Memory full error messages and after a while the phone restarts itself, so that I can't even free some space by connecting it to the PC. I'm not able to do anything directly on the phone.

What can I do?

remove memory card from phone then after start up quickly dial *#7370# and enter default code 12345 to format your phone then insert memory card in phone and connect it to pc using mass storage mode and back up data from memory card after that format your memory card also

for stable operating of your phone.....update your phone's firmware using Nokia suite on pc

Re: Can't format Nokia 5800 (memory full)

The problem is that the memory card is already empty, it's the phone that is full. I've already managed to enter *#7270# once but nothing happened.

Solved by doing a hard reset with the physical buttons.
