Camera Flash Problem

I have a Nokia N79 and basically it has Camera Flash moodswings. It's better now but for a few months the flash didn't work at all. Now it works again, but it stopped the day before and now works again. It's really weird and confusing.

 

Will a simple software update, or reinstallation since T-Mobile prevents updates, fix this? My internet is slow and restricted so I haven't completed a reinstallation yet.

Sounds more like a hardware than a software problem, would suggest taking it to a Nokia Care Point !
