Black Screen VS White Screen

Hi! Am I right? ...

... When my screen is mostly black the backlight is still illuminating the whole screen. It is just masked.

So there is no difference in the power drain between a black and a white screen (there may be a tiny increase due to maintaining a black LCD cell?)

So, if I choose a white theme and wallpaper my battery will last longer as I can turn the screen intensity down to 25% and still read text happily.

Or, am I wrong?

Hi I'm not an expert, but I don't think the theme colour will affect battery life, screen brightness and standby time settings have more effect, I prefer a dark theme but out of choice not for battery life. Basically the more you use the phone the sooner it needs re-charging !
