Both those links are from US based sites and nokia is not very popular there compared to the rest of the world. So naturally you will find phones that are popular in the US listed there.
Gizmodo is also very anti-nokia most of the time anyway.

Got no problems with the OS in my N97, it's fast, smooth and stable for me.
Perhaps it's time you sold your N96 and bought a new model or moved onto another brand? No one is forcing you to buy nokia.

WOW the LG EnV Touch looks very cool (or could it be that I think it's cool because is the closest to the N97)
I have to say I love my N97 even with all the problems that I had, but I learn to live with it and now with have a better relationship :-)

Hey Brother, One advice?
Wait for the Satio.
The super kudoed users are going to protect aikon! We all like Nokia, but its getting really outdated with its so called FLAGSHIP models!
Some moderators are going to remove my account now!

Why are you recommending the satio after you were moaning about symbian earlier today?
Make your mind up! ![]()
I too am considering the satio but am waiting for detailed reviews before jumping on the bandwagon. SE have a history of making phones with great camera but awful everywhere else.

What about the N900? That sounds pretty cool and ain't symbian ..
Mind you, I read a rumour that it may not be network-subsidised which would put it well outside my way-too-tight-to-pay-that-kinda-price range ..

At least, the Satio isn't going to be like the **bleep** N97!
BTW, who got a nice working N97 without **bleep**? 1 over 100?

I got my hands on a pre-release / development Satio recently and I thought it was really very very nice!!! As I mentioned else where, at no time during my playing did it play the Nokia ring tone instead of the one selected in the profile ![]()
I am a huge fan of Symbian, but I'm a huge Linux fan too.. I've only owned Symbian handsets since they were first released.. The Ericsson (not Sony Ericsson) R380? Anyone remember that touch screen phone (hint, it was black and white) so I'm equally happy that you would buy an N86, 5800 or a Satio.. It's all a score for the Symbian ethos
In my mini review, I'd compare the Satio to the 5800 more than the N97.. It doesn't have a keyboard and that really makes a huge difference to the way you interact with the device..
It is running S60 and a lot of the development / testing apps were branded Nokia ![]()
The camera is a bit of a bulge/blister on the back, but it IS 12.1MP and a dream to use.. It's a great little handset and I'm personally really happy Sony Ericsson and Nokia are going to share a common platform in the future..
The win for Nokia is the 32Gig of storage and the win for Sony is the camera.. It's a REAL shame Nokia don't make better use of the storage (what is this 70Meg c: **bleep**? Seriously, I have word documents larger!) but maybe that'll be sorted with v2.0 for the N97.. dunno..
I'd be much happier to see someone leave Nokia for a Satio than say and iphone or winmo handset.. and the Satio and Samsung (with its awesome cap oled screen) are both great handsets (though the Satio was very pre-release when I saw it.. it has the makings of a great handset)
On a side note, the Satio has a proprietary SE connector, not microUSB.. that is a real shame.. I forget what the samsung one has.. microUSB ftw!!

At last, somebody is talking sense! The satio will make an uproar!
