Anyone give me advice on the Nokia N95?

Hi guys and girls

just sent my Nokia E65 back to 02 here in England
i really liked it, but it wasnt for me, thought id try it and see if it won me over..
but the thought of getting the N95 was too much, ha ha

can anyone tell me if they have experienced the "usual" and "typical" Nokia N80 or Nokia N91 type problems with their N95`s such as Freezing, Restarting, slow menus, slow SMS and all the other stuff that i suffered from on my N80???

would appreciate all you VERY LUCKY N95 owners giving me some helpful advice :-)

Thanks

There are few N95 owners, for now. But until today, none S60 devices, before some firmware upgrades, have a stable OS. So wait the same from N95, for sure...

Yup.Agree wid it.
It was a common problem of OS 9.1.The gallery was disastrous.N95 comes wid 9.2.Means a BIT better. And crashin is normal though I expect not like N91 or N73.
Just to know y as an example,N91 has more stability after 2.10.013 SW is released.
N80 is too.
Wat I will do is to buy it after its first FW upgrade.
Now let's see wat the nu N95 users say:smileywink:

Hi, I just received my Nokia N95 this morning and IT IS AN AMAZING device!

As much as I have love this handset, it does still suffer the problems as with the older models. I've had it on for only 4 hours so far and already, its restarted once on me without warning and frozen 3 times. The features do work pretty well but it takes time to start them. The menus are not exactly lightning fast and if you have a couple of applications running eg. media player, it will slow down.

The screen is crystal clear and the sound it crisp.

Basically, all the features work as intended but a little unreliably. If these problem are not sorted out by Nokia soon then I can see myself letting go of this handset once the honeymoon period is over. Having said that, I dont think the novelty is going to die away quite so soon. Its a **bleep** great device!

Any questions.. just ask.

Re: Anyone give me advice on the Nokia N95?

i have only had one crash so far in the 2 weeks ive had it
the phone has frozen many times but that has stopped since i have installed handy taskman which handles my open apps and closes the ones that i am not using.....
initially my main concern was the purple hue in the camera which is now gone totally!
i got what i wanted! now if nokia would only increase the fw to be compatible with 4gb mem.cards that would be very good and improve the flash it is the same as the n73's flash which to me is adequate but can only be useful for short distances from the object being taken....a xenon flash would have been nice but you know what? there are serious downfalls to the xenon flash so nokia in your next device (N95i??? LOL) try using 2 LED flash sensors....that would be perfect!
i must say that im happy with this phone so far i expected the crashes and freezing nothing that 2 (LONG waits) of fw updates cant do lol
but the device is great is anything missing from the device in my opinion?
hmmmmm not that i can think of right now.....maybe a faster processor but on the other hand it seems to be faster than the n93/n93i which to me was pretty fast to me....no complaints

Does it support FOTA(=Firmware Upgrade Over The Air).
Xenon flash downfalls???
Excuse me, could y tell me about it a bit more?
I guess xenon flash is best.

Just ordered my N95, cant wait to get past easter!!! (might be my longest weekend). I've been scanning websites for potential problems and was not suprised or deterred from the complaints of the phone crashing. Like 'roberth' mentioned, I suspected it would be due to many applications running in the background something I was used to from Windows mobile phones. The solution was to have a utility that automatically closes programs not been used. I hope this will be the case when I get my phone on Tuesday.

Anyone know what colour the uk t-mobile one comes in (brown or cream)?
