Hi, psychomania, I'm zopfan (that should be enough).

And I'm dragging only a point, not a person. If you're not interested in that point anymore, simply don't eloborate it further.
On boards, if anyone doesn't agree with someone else, he is allowed to say so. After all, many persons have said that T-Rex was wrong (in his arguement), in this very thread.
Moreover, I didn't use any rough words. I'm not abusing you, or anybody. I've just said, that, to me "TRex was right and Psychomania was wrong".

Very well someone else could say, "Zopfan is wrong and Psychomania is right". No problem with that also.
Yes, I would surely request that person to prove me wrong-- and-- prove his point right, logically!!

T-Rex isn't saying that it was too big a problem. He just wanted to say that this IS a problem (big or small).

Tell me guys, if there are 2 phones, one starts to show that it is ready after boot, even though it isn't. [And if you try to click something at that time, it behaves erratically]
And 2nd phone, shows ready only when IT IS ready.
Which one will you like.

At the most, you'd say both will be equal. But, I really would be surprised if you'd prefer 1st over the 2nd one.
Tell me honestly.

zopfan - seriously, you are wasting your time here. Virtually the only replies you'll get here are from people who clearly cannot understand the simple point that has been made - no matter how many times you re-iterate it.

This fact is exemplified once again by your last post and the subsequent response. I'm leaving them to it, I suggest you do likewise. All the best zopfan.

You're 100% right my friend.

I don't think/say that I'm (or you're) wiser than these others. But,, it happens.

And your suggestion is priceless.

Thanx buddy.

P.S. Though I've a weakness, that when there is a response to any one post of mine, I just can't stop replying it. But after your recent post, I'll try my best not to eloborate further. Bye.

It's never bothered me. I just wait a second or two for the phone to finish booting and get on with something else meanwhile.

Re: Any way to stop the after boot 'menu jump'?

What are you people fighting about?
One doesn't like it, the other doesn't care... So what?
I personally don't mind that menu thing because, because besides that, phones like N95 or, like mine, N82, work very fast.
Believe me, you would find it more annoying to wait 4 seconds more with screen saying "Nokia" than "menu restarting".
BTW, you know what they say, there's nothing perfect in this world. The more demanding you become, it becomes harder to keep it close to perfect. :smileywink: You guys should be happy your phones aren't as slow as Windows can be (don't use Linux or Mac, so, can't tell you 'bout them). :smileyvery-happy:

Mine does the whole jump thing after I turn it on. It is very annoying as it's not simply that it does it if you turn it on  and try to use the menu key straight away it will do it even if you have left the phone over night. Can be a pain in the a$%e if you, like me, press the menu button then click up for messages and try to select new message in a hurry. It will revert back to the contacts and will start choosing contacts and try to call them. I aree with Trex it's a nuisance. Nothing that can't be fixed I'm sure.

Re: Any way to stop the after boot 'menu jump'?

If your phone's doing that after sitting idle I have to wonder if demand paging's gone wrong somewhere and is paging the essential phone services out of RAM. There's a reason for the phone to be jumpy and slow right after a boot (10-20 background apps firing up) but it should be ready to go from then onwards. FWIW on the N95 8GB and N79 I find the "jumpy" period lasts only a second or two, certainly much less than the amount of time my 1100 spent telling me "SIM CARD NOT READY" every time I switched it on.
Help I'm trapped in a sig factory.
